Week-long residencies are designed for multiple school districts in the same geographic area to all benefit from our artists' culture-infused performances. Each residency program features a family concert at the end of the week where children and parents are invited to experience the full performance together.

Ixtlan's library and museum programs cater to students, families, and adults. The goal is to connect the local community to the rich ethnic histories of our artists and their artforms.

College and university programs engage students directly with the artist in a sophisticated workshop that focuses on the musical or dance history of each artists' cultural program. Programs can include a review ethnic instrumentation and student participation.

Each school program enhances student education by connecting the performance to the classroom. Ixtlan provides curriculum-related teacher's guides for each artist that illustrates the important lessons of the program, as well as ideas to support educators as they guide their students.
